JUST A FEW MORE THINGS TO DO IN LUTON

Looking for things to do in Luton? Look no further! Just because the summer’s on its way out, it doesn’t mean you can’t get out and about and explore everything Luton has to offer! Here are our top 5 things to do in Luton…

Luton is home to so much more than an airport and a few housing estates. From parks to paintballing and our very own trampoline park, Luton has so much to keep the whole family entertained.

STOCKWOOD DISCOVERY CENTRE

Maintained by Luton Culture, this is a fascinating centre of local history and culture. Stockwood Discovery Centre tells the stories of real people behind the collections, exploring the history of the region from prehistoric times to the evolution of Stockwood House and the Farley estate.

A paradise for garden enthusiasts, Stockwood Discovery Centre is one of the few places in the country where the work of acclaimed artist Ian Hamilton Finlay can be found on permanent display.

Once part of the original Stockwood House walled areas, the Period Gardens reflect the changing styles of gardening in this country. New areas include a contemplative Sensory Garden, a colourful World Garden and a Medicinal Garden highlighting the usefulness of plants – designed with environmentally green and sustainable principles in mind.

WREST PARK

Explore the evolution of the English garden with a stroll through three centuries of landscape design at Wrest Park. From dazzling parterres and fragrant borders, to sweeping views and woodland walks, Wrest Park is a real treat for the senses. Zip along to the children’s play area, have tea in the café and explore the hidden treasures in the archaeological stores.

DELTA FORCE PAINTBALL LUTON

If you’re looking for something a little more intense, why not head down to Delta Force Paintball. This all-new paintball centre is one of the five-star paintball centres in the UK. The zombie-infested Dawn of the Dead or the Western-inspired Gold Rush events are some of the many big paintball game zones you can choose from.

Grab your squad and team up for the ultimate paintball experience the likes of which you have never experienced before…

WARDOWN PARK MUSEUM

Back after a £3.5 million redevelopment, Wardown House, Museum and Gallery has officially reopened. Step back in time and glimpse an insight into a wealthy family home during the Victorian period by exploring the many rooms of this wonderfully preserved house. Snoop through the shelves of books and our cabinets of curiosity. Open drawers, peek into the collectors cabinet and discover Luton’s penguin connection!

Enjoy delicious food and refreshing beverages in the Victorian style dining room overlooking Wardown Park. The perfect setting for a relaxing afternoon with family and friends.

CHEER ON THE HATTERS

Why not catch a home game of the local team? Luton Town FC have been kicking footballs around at Kenilworth Road since 1905 and are a real fixture of the community. Join the Hatters on their journey up the table this season and feel the excitement of the crowd with every shot and every save.
