What is home care
Sometimes a few hours a day or week is all you need to help maintain your independence. Whether you need someone to support with getting ready for the day, cooking an evening meal, or going shopping once or twice a week, we can help.
Hourly support is the best approach if you need a helping hand but don't require full time or live in care. You may want support with taking your medication, visiting friends and family or staying on top of the housework and cooking.
Whatever your needs are, we can develop a bespoke care plan that lets you maintain your independence at home.
Hourly support is flexible, giving you the option to book as many or as few hours as you need. You are not restricted to the same number of hours each week and we are always happy to accommodate you no matter what changes your schedule might present.
As with all of our services, your personal care assistant works directly with you and our experienced management team to ensure that your bespoke care plan always meets your needs and wishes.
This plan is regularly reviewed, and your care is always delivered when and how you like it. As your needs evolve, so does your care, and our personal care assistants have the flexibility to evolve with you.
How does home care work
Carefully selected and qualified carers
All of our personal care assistants are employed directly by Redwood Home Care.
We are not an introductions agency that matches you with a carer who you then employ yourself, so you don't have to worry about employment law, payroll, pension plans or staff training. Your personal care assistant is an employee of Redwood Home Care Ltd, and this means that we are responsible for supervising them and ensuring they are fully trained, insured and supported in their own personal professional development.
We take care of everything.
Our team of dedicated staff are carefully selected and go through a comprehensive training course before joining our clients in the community.
Every single carer has undergone an enhanced criminal records check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), so you can rest assured that our team are both knowledgeable and safe.
Continued professional development is very important to us at Redwood Home Care, and we work hard to ensure our team undertake regular training and have the ability to enhance their skills wherever possible.
Being a caregiver is an incredibly rewarding profession, but employees still need to be happy with their employer to feel satisfied and rooted in their role. At Redwood Home Care, we deeply value the work that our carers do, and we reward them with a variety of bonuses and opportunities.
Because of this, our staff turnover rates are very low and this enables us to provide you with consistent, happy caregivers who enjoy their work and always give you their best.
In addition to this, we have sophisticated IT systems in place to ensure your caregiver is always up to date with the latest policies and regulations laid out by the CQC (Care Quality Commission).
State of the art technology
We utilise state of the art software systems to keep you, your loved ones and any relevant care partners up to date with your care plan, visits and important information.
Using this software, your chosen family members and key personnel can keep up to date with how your care is going, and anyone with access to your profile can share feedback and suggestions with your personal care assistant/s and the Redwood Home Care team.
We believe transparency is crucial, so giving you the tools to see and comment on your care plan and the service you are receiving, at a time that suits you, is incredibly important to us.
