Live in care might seem daunting, but actually it’s a really practical way for you to get the support you need whilst maintaining your independence at home. People who receive live-in support have the peace of mind of knowing there is somebody there to help, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - without the need for them to move into a residential home or sheltered accommodation.

 

We work together with you to understand what kind of a carer you’re looking for, and how you’d like them to support you. We then match you with the right carers, and your team of dedicated staff will work on a rotational basis to ensure you always have the support you need, right when you need it.

Your carers will help you with all the tasks you might want assistance with, such as personal care, cleaning, laundry, shopping, attending medical appointments, taking trips and enjoying activities. They act as a companion and become involved in your hobbies and interests, to ensure you can continue to live the life you’ve always loved. They’re a friend, an ally, and someone you can rely on.

A REGULAR TEAM

You’ll benefit from a regular team of carers to ensure consistency, and so you always know who is supporting you and when. Your carers might work one week on and one week off, and at the end of each week they’ll perform a detailed handover with each other. This ensures that everyone is up to speed with your wishes and needs, and that there is minimal disruption to you and your routine.

GUARANTEED COVER
We provide a range of services in the local area and have a large network of staff to help us deliver world class care to our clients. If for any reason your usual carer becomes unavailable, perhaps through sickness or due to a holiday, we can guarantee replacement cover to ensure you are never left without support.

THE BENEFITS OF AN EMPLOYED TEAM
We employ all of our carers directly, so you never have to worry about the responsibilities that come with being an employer. You don’t have to worry about insurance, pensions, wages, training or finding cover for holidays or sickness - we employ your carers so we take the burden of all this away from you.

Our team go through an intensive induction and training period, and receive continued training and one to one supervision with our management team. We pride ourselves on looking after our staff just as well as we look after our clients, so you can rest assured that our team are happy, respected and feel valued in their work. As a result, they’re in the best possible position to provide you with the world class service that you deserve.

A LIVE IN CARER’S NEEDS
Your live in carer will be living in your home for the duration of their assignment with you. This might involve a week on, week off rotation, and you’ll need to be able to provide a spare room where your carer/s can sleep and rest when they aren’t supporting you. 

We provide all of our live in carers with a weekly food budget so they can purchase their own supplies ready for their stay with you.

Live in carers can be woken up to 3 times a night in order to support you, but if you require more regular support throughout the night we can arrange for an extra carer to provide waking night cover, whilst your usual care assistant sleeps. This means your usual live in carer will be well rested enough in order to provide you with the quality of care you deserve throughout the day.

Your live in carer will also require breaks throughout the course of the week. If you need support during your carer’s break time, we can provide hourly cover to make sure you’re never alone - even when your normal carer is on their break.
